FABRICA: ELISABETTA SGARBI A FABRICAElisabetta Sgarbi a Fabrica "L'editoria che si
sposta" Conferenza aperta al pubblico 24 marzo 2005 ore 18:00 Wanted
Creativity Workshops e Lectures 2005
Elio scrive fiabe centimetropolitane e Antonio Rezza diventa narratore
partendo dalle sue performance surreali. La collana Inversi ha
per prima proposto al mercato libri con cd, di immagini o musiche. Nei
film Luciano Emmer incontra Erica Jong e scrittori come Kureishi o Malouf
o Ben Jelloun scrivono per essere detti da Anna Bonaiuto, Galatea Ranzi,
Laura Morante e Toni Servillo, in un cinema della parola che ha esordito
all'ultimo Torino Film Festival.
Elisabetta Sgarbi at Fabrica "L'editoria che si sposta" Lecture open to all March 24th 2005 at 6:00pm Wanted Creativity Workshops and Lectures 2005On March 24th Elisabetta Sgarbi, editorial director for Bompiani (RCS
group), will come to Fabrica to give a lecture. Her work is the same‹at
Bompiani, as artistic director of the Festival La Milanesiana, as movie
director: to let meet worlds that usually don't meet. By the time she
picked her way through her editorial career, she's been always alert
for nonconformist literature and proved to be a passionate advocate
for the so-called minor authors who have emerged as strong voices of
the new generation. La Milanesiana, which is rumored to have been inspired
by a quotation from the medieval philosopher Bernardo di Chartres ("We
are like dwarfs standing on the shoulders of giants") gives expression
to stage performances of any kind, wavering from literature to music,
theatre and cinema. During the speech there will be presented two short
movies "La notte che si sposta - Gianfranco Ferroni presented at the
59ª Mostra Internazionale d'Arte Cinematografica Biennale di Venezia
in 2002 and "Ci conosciamo?" about the meeting between the Italian movie
director Luciano Emmer and the American writer Erica Jong. Elisabetta
Sgarbi is the Editorial director for Bompiani (RCS group). Always looking
to produce anti-conventional and avant-garde literature, she has given
a lot of space to so-called minor literature and new writers. Published
authors include Michael Cunningham, Hanif Kureishi, Tahar Ben Jelloun,
Amin Malouf, Edward Carey, Imre Kertesz, Paulo Coelho, Carmelo Bene.
Work she has edited includes “Frasario essenziale (per passare inosservati
in società)” by Ennio Flaiano (Vanni Scheiwiller, 1986) and various
monographic issues of the literary magazine “Panta” of which she is
director. The magazine is edited by Bompiani and Sgarbi also came up
with the column “inVersi” that combines poetry, acting and music. She
is artistic director of the festival “La Milanesiana- Literature, Music,
Cinema”, organized by the municipality and province of Milan. In 1999
she founded the Betty Wrong production company and directed her first
film, a short about Mariko Mori. In 2001 she participated in the London
Film Festival with “This is my Chocky Message” and presented “Beauties
by Night” at the Turin Film Festival. In 2002 her medium length film
“The Trembling Night - Gianfranco Ferroni” was shown at the 59th Venice
Film Festival where the following year she also presented “Ghosts of
Voice”. In 2004 she made her first feature film “Endless Night is Love
Betrayal Incest” which was in competition at the 2004 edition of the
Turin Film Festival. The next meeting will be with the industrial designers El ultimo grito who will come to give a workshop from March 30th to April 1st. _____________________________________
