Wanted creativity riprende dopo la pausa estiva con un
appuntamento
imperdibile: i pluripremiati graphic designers svizzeri
Norm verranno a
Fabrica dal 14 al 16 settembre per un workshop dal titolo
"Il vuoto è
brutto".
Scopo principale dell'incontro con gli studenti di Fabrica
è studiare le
relazioni degli oggetti nello spazio: verranno messi in
discussione ordine
e disordine, caos e vuoto.
Dove sono le cose, come si rapportano tra di loro e quante
di esse
possiamo mettere in uno spazio? Per i designer queste
domande sono
fondamentali e il loro lavoro consiste nell'organizzare
tipografia, grafica
ed elementi illustrati in uno spazio dato.
Il modo in cui questi elementi si relazionano tra loro
deciderà se un
messaggio funzionerà oppure no.
E' molto facile creare disordine e caos: in questo senso,
secondo i Norm,
l'ordine è lo scopo principale del lavoro di un
graphic designer.
Norm è stato fondato a Zurigo il primo gennaio
1999 da Dimitri Bruni e Manuel Krebs. Norm è un
studio che si occupa di ogni genere di incarico nel campo
del design grafico. Norm è inoltre un progetto
in se stesso, una piattaforma di ricerca e riflessione
sulla comunicazione visiva in forma di pubblicazioni:
è in programma una trilogia di cui sono già
usciti i primi due numeri “#1 Norm: Introduction”
(1999) e “#2 Norm: The Things” (2002) mentre
il terzo è atteso per la fine del 2005. www.norm.to

Wanted Creativity will start again after the summer break
with an important
meeting: the Swiss multi-award winning graphic designers
Norm, will come to
Fabrica from September 14th to 16th to give a workshop
entitled "Il vuoto è
brutto".
The main issue of this workshop is how to deal with things
in space.
Norm together with Fabrica's grantholders will study the
relation between
order and disorder, chaos and emptiness: as long as we
are occupied with an
empty space everything is fine.
When the things come, the problems start. Where are the
things, how do they
stand to each other and how many of them can we put into
a space. For the
designers these questions are fundamental as their work
consists of
arranging typographic, graphic and pictural elements in
a space.
The way these elements stand to each other will decide
weather a message
comes through or not. It's very easy to create disorder
and chaos: in that
sense order is the highest aim of a graphic designer.
Norm has been founded in Zurich on January 1st 1999 by
Dimitri Bruni and
Manuel Krebs.
Norm is a studio that takes care of all kinds of duties
in the field of
graphic design. Norm is also a project in itself, a platform
for research
and reflections on visual communication, in form of publications:
a trilogy
is planned, the issues ³#1 Norm: Introduction²
(1999) and ³#2 Norm: The
Things² (2002) are already out, the issue #3 is planned
for the end of
2005.
